Do The Right Thing – Purim Prep

On Purim, we recall how the Jews of Persia were saved from an extermination plot. This plan was hatched by the king’s advisor, Haman, who was insulted when a Jew named Mordechai would not bow to him. Mordechai is a model for doing what we believe is right, even when we might pay a heavy price for doing so or gain by doing otherwise. As President Obama wrote, “If we aren’t willing to pay a price for our values, then we should ask ourselves whether we truly believe in them at all.”
